When his mother-in-law passed away, Larry Gropp found this photo while going through her estate. Her husband (Richard A Conover - born in 1908) grew up in Buffalo NY and Gropp is curious why this photo might have meant something to him - he kept it so many years. There is not any hand writing on it and Gropp wondered if the players might have been his friends. If any can tell us anything about this photo or the players/date, please contact us.
Visitor response:
In regard to the Mystery Photo with the two ball players with Silver Creek uniforms, my friend out here said that they may belong to the the Silver Creek Horseshoes from around 1904.
I did some research on the internet and found one write-up about the Horseshoes, including names.
Attached is that write-up. These two players look like brothers and there were two brothers on the team.Hope this helps in some small way.

Billy Webb is on right with bat. Can you identify anyone else?
