Never has he sent a boys relay team to a New York State Public High School Athletic Association championship meet.

He will this year.

The Frewsburg/Southwestern 200-yard freestyle relay team reached a state-qualifying time of 1:29.44 en route to winning Tuesday as the Trojan Bears beat Panama/Maple Grove/Chautauqua Lake 122-48 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association boys swimming and diving Tuesday evening at Southwestern Elementary School.
