Christine A. (Carlson) Jenkins was born August 8, 1969 in Jamestown, New York. She is a 1987 graduate of Panama Central School. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Grove City College in 1991 and a Master’s Degree from the University of Virginia in 1995.

Chris was an outstanding athlete at Panama Central competing in varsity track in 7th and 8th grade, JV volleyball and basketball in 8th and 9th grade, and varsity volleyball, basketball and softball as a sophomore, junior and senior.

She was a three-time Division II basketball First Team All-Star establishing Panama records for career points (1184), single season points (510), single game points (34), and single game rebounds (25) at the time of her graduation. She was the area scoring leader in basketball in both her junior and senior years.

Jenkins was a three-time Division II volleyball First Team All-Star and a Division II softball First Team All-Star as a senior. She was named Panama’s Female Athlete of Year for 1986-87.
