Dale E. Till

Dale E. Till, age 79, passed away on January 3, 2017 in Port Charlotte, Florida after battling cancer for 45 years.

He was born in Dunkirk, NY on March 13, 1937 to Edward W. Till and Mary Gibbons. Since 2000 he had wintered in Punta Gorda, Florida and summered in Fredonia, NY.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ann; a daughter, Michelle (Nick) Pasyanos of Amawalk, NY; and sons, Edward (Tamyra) Till of Castile, NY and Jay Till of Warsaw, NY. He is also survived by grandsons, Jarrod and Thomas Pasyanos, Connor and Daniel Till; granddaughters, Chelsea Gerasimchik, Savannah, Nicole and Alexandria Till; and one great- grandson, Jacoby Gerasimchik. Dale’s only sibling, Marilyn (Oren) Dalrymple resides in Winter Haven, Florida.

Dale taught and coached in Brocton, Lockport and the Cassadaga Valley Central Schools for a total of 34 years. He also coached baseball at SUNY Fredonia for 27 years. He was inducted into the SUNY Fredonia Hall of Fame, the Western NY and Chautauqua County Sports Halls of Fame.

He was a collector of sports memorabilia, breweriana and loved to travel. Dale donated his body to a medical research facility.

His family is planning a celebration of his life to be held at the Dunkirk Moose Club on May 28, 2017. If desired, family and friends can donate to the Roswell Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Dale always credited them, along with Dr. Milazzo, of Dunkirk, and numerous physicians and medical facilities for extending his life.
