Dennis J. Meszaros
Dennis J. Meszaros, 78, of Busti passed away unexpectedly Monday (Nov. 21, 2022) in his home.
He was born Nov. 11, 1944 in Charleroi, Pa., the son of the late John and Dorothy Slifka Meszaros.
Denny was a graduate of Bentworth High School and California State University of Pennsylvania earning a bachelor’s degree in education. He taught math at Falconer Central School from 1966 to 2000. During his 34 years at FCS, Denny coached the Varsity Baseball team, reaching over 500 wins and winning the New York State Championship in 2000. He also coached boys basketball, girls basketball, several area summer baseball teams, and served as the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Baseball Chairman.
Currently, Denny was employed by Jamestown Mattress Company in Warren, Pa., and was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, having served in various offices. In his spare time, he enjoyed trout fishing, golfing, and gambling.
Denny is survived by his daughter Leslie (Tim) Berg of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two granddaughters: Rachel Berg and Maya Berg, and a brother Tim (Jane) Meszaros of New Eagle, Pa., and his former wife of 40 years Cindy A. Meszaros .
He was preceded in death by his son, Ryan S. Meszaros, who died Sept. 3, 2010.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Falconer Funeral Home; with a memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. Visit our website at www.falconerfuneralhome.net to send a message of condolence.
