"Bisky" First JHS One-Hander

Nowadays, high school basketball players have a vast variety of shots, including one-handers, twisting jumpers, left-handed layups, etc.

Twenty years ago, however, a boy shooting one-handed was considered a "show-off" and it was the quickest way to get benched by the coach. Along came Frank Pischera, a sophomore at Jamestown High School. Pischera, nicknamed "Bisky," is generally credited with introducing the one-handed push (non-jump) shot which is currently the fad. He set a sizzling scoring pace throughout his schoolboy days and continued with the semi-pro Jamestown Vikings.
