Hugh Bedient

In all, Hugh pitched 18 innings in 4 games in the 1912 World Series with an ERA of 0.50, for the champion Red Sox. A crowd of 25,000 people greeted Bedient when he returned home.
With an offer to double his salary and play closer to home, Bedient jumped to Buffalo of the Federal League in 1915. He pitched 269 innings in 53 games for the Buffeds.
